2 or 3 times a day, or more if he dirt becomes bone dry by the time you water again. Put in some mulch to hold the moisture in; then you won’t have to water as much.

Question by Jade: Will rain kill potted tomato and strawberry plants?
I have 2 tomato plants and strawberry plants potted and left outside. Its been nice weather so i havent had to worry about them but we have had some heavy rain down here and im wonderin whether i should bring them inside. Will the rain drown the plants because they are in pots, though i have made holes in the bottom? Please help!
Answer by jibbajungs
really heavy rain could knock off the flowers a tomato plant. best thing to do if you are worried about damage is to locate the plants against a wall or fence to protect from the worst of the weather. once they are established rain is only gonna be good for them so you shouldn’t worry too much.
